FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 336 (Act 2022-284) as enacted adds two members to the Alabama Plumbers and Gas Fitters Examining Board which would increase the obligations of the Board by an estimated $720 per meeting.

Further, this act could increase the obligations of the Board by an undetermined amount to allow the Board to adopt rules regarding continuing education requirements. These obligations could be offset, wholly or in part, by fees levied and collected for continuing education, as provided by this act.

Finally, this act requires a certificate holder subject to disciplinary action to satisfy all fines, fees, and restitution prior to recertification, which could increase receipts to the Board by an undetermined amount dependent on the amount of any such fine or fees that otherwise would not have been paid.
