FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 224 (Act 2022-301) as enacted would increase the obligations of the Alabama Department of Labor by a department-estimated $1.89 million in Fiscal Year 2023, and an estimated $2.27 million annually thereafter, for costs related to additional personnel needed to conduct weekly random reviews of at least 5% of the proof of work searches provided by unemployment compensation claimants, as provided by this act.
