FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 250 (Act 2022-149) as enacted could increase the obligations of the Alabama Port Authority by an undetermined amount to allow the Authority to purchase, construct, and operate inland property and facilities, including intermodal and multi-modal facilities. These obligations could be offset by increased fees assessed from the use of any new facilities.

Further, this act would allow the Authority to issue bonds for the purchase, construction, or improvement of such inland facilities.
