FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 486 as passed the House of Representatives would codify the current practice of the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs to hire an executive director for the Alabama State Veterans Home program and an on-site director for each state veterans home.

Additionally, this bill could increase the financial obligations of the department by an undetermined amount if the Board of Veterans Affairs votes to increase the amount of per diem paid to board members (currently, an amount not to exceed $25 per day) pursuant to the provisions of this bill for attending meetings of the Board.

This bill will not otherwise affect state or local funding.
