FISCAL NOTE
House Bill 144 as passed the House of Representatives would eliminate the requirement for a runoff election between two tied candidates for a municipal office for which there are only two candidates, which would reduce potential election expenses paid from municipal funds by an undetermined amount dependent upon the number of runoff elections that would have otherwise been required.
