FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 455 as introduced provides for officials or employees of the Administrative Office of Courts to: 1) be compensated for up to 480 hours of accumulated annual leave upon separation at time of death, retirement, resignation, or transfer; 2) receive payment of 50% of unused sick leave at retirement or death, not to exceed 600 hours; and 3) require leave balances to be transferred to the state Merit System.

This bill codifies current practice of the Administrative Office of Courts, is retroactive to July 1, 2021, and will not directly affect state or local funding.
