FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 148 as passed the House of Representatives proposes a Constitutional Amendment which, if ratified, would require any privately owned sewage treatment plant located in the city limits of Lake View in Tuscaloosa County to be certified and regulated by the Public Service Commission.

This bill would increase the obligations of the Alabama Public Service Commission by an estimated $80,000 annually to regulate an additional provider of sewer services.

This bill would also increase the proclamation expenses of the Governor, paid from the State General Fund, by an estimated $1,500 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023.
