FISCAL NOTE
Senate Bill 289 as introduced would increase the financial and administrative obligations of the Alabama Beverage Control (ABC) Board by a substantial undetermined amount per the Board: (1) to implement a custom-built software system to receive and ship inventory; (2) to increase warehouse space and personnel according to the amount of inventory that will need to be held; (3) for the anticipated increase in transportation costs from switching to an at-will shipping schedule; and (4) to adopt rules to implement the provisions of this bill.
In addition, this bill also establishes a nine-member Allocated Liquor Product Advisory Board to determine which liquor products shall be designated allocated liquor products and to report to the ABC Board the determinations.
