FISCAL NOTE
Senate Bill 291 as introduced creates the Workforce Reform and Alignment Act which could increase the administrative obligations of the Alabama Workforce Council by an undetermined amount to submit an annual report, containing a peer review of all system workforce programs, to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and the Board of Trustees of the Alabama Community College System (ACCS). This bill would also increase the administrative obligations of the Chancellor of the ACCS by an undetermined amount to provide certain quarterly and annual reports to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
In addition, this bill would increase the reimbursement expenses of the ACCS Board by $159 per meeting by increasing the membership of the board by one at-large appointment by the Governor.
