FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 174 as passed the Senate exempts certain purchases of supplies and services by the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services from competitive bid requirement and allows contracts for the purchase or use of push-to-talk services to be awarded multiple purchase contracts, which could increase or decrease the expenses of the Department of Rehabilitation Services and governmental entities entering into contracts for push-to-talk services by an undetermined amount dependent upon the price these entities would have otherwise obtained from competitive bid and the price paid under the lease/purchase of goods.
