FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 348 as introduced removes the provision requiring the issuance of a certificate of authorization fee by the Board of Examiners of Landscape Architects, in the amount of $50, to corporations or partnerships desiring to use "landscape architect" in the title of their corporate or partnership name, which, based upon the number of certificates of authorization issued in FY 2021, could decrease receipts to the Board by an estimated $1,400 beginning in fiscal year 2022. However, pursuant to the provisions of this bill, the decrease could be offset, partly by: (1) the $25 fee increase imposed to reinstate suspended landscape architect licenses, and (2) the newly established $75 fee required to place a license on inactive status.
