FISCAL NOTE
Senate Bill 199 as passed the Senate authorizes the Alabama Board of Chiropractic Examiners to purchase real property. This bill also provides that property will be purchased solely with board funds and that any debts, obligations, or liabilities incurred through the purchase of real property is the sole responsibility of the Board. This bill could also reduce ad valorem tax receipts to the state (currently distributed to the Public School Fund, the Public Welfare Trust Fund, Alabama Veterans’ Assistance Fund and the State General Fund) and to local governments by an undetermined amount dependent upon the value of the property purchased by the Board and the applicable millage rates.
