FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 43 as introduced could increase the administrative obligations of the Attorney General for the enforcement of certain consumer protections regarding device filters provided by this bill. This bill could also increase receipts to the Alabama Crime Victims Compensation Fund by an undetermined amount dependent on the number and amount of certain civil penalties paid pursuant to this bill, up to $500 per civil action, less attorney costs, of which 50% are deposited in this Fund.
