FISCAL NOTE
House Bill 95 as passed the House of Representatives could delay collection of certain court costs from former inmates by 90 days after release from custody and requires former inmates to enter into a repayment plan with the jurisdiction or jurisdictions in which he or she has financial obligations within 30 days of release. This bill will not otherwise affect state or local funding.
As amended and reported by the Committee on Judiciary, provides for an 180-day period, after release from physical custody, that an inmate would have before certain court costs are required to be paid.
