FISCAL NOTE
Senate Bill 71 as passed the Senate could increase the obligations of the various county vehicle licensing officials by an undetermined amount, dependent upon whether the county licensing official, upon approval by the county commission, chooses to contract with a third party for the establishment of a print-on-demand kiosk system.
This bill further provides that the Department of Corrections will continue to receive the same amount for license plates and decals as currently provided under the existing statute.
Additionally, this bill will increase the administrative obligations of the Alabama Department of Revenue to adopt rules for the implementation and administration of the provisions of this bill.
