FISCAL NOTE
House Bill 50 as introduced would increase the aggregate obligations of the local boards of education by an estimated $5.9 million annually, beginning in Fiscal Year 2024, to provide feminine hygiene products for students in each school building where any fifth through twelfth-grader is enrolled.
For the 2020-2021 school year, there were approximately 218,000 female students in grades five through twelve at 1,293 schools.
