FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 250 as passed the House of Representatives could increase the obligations of the Alabama Port Authority by an undetermined amount to allow the Authority to purchase, construct, and operate inland property and facilities, including intermodal and multi-modal facilities. These obligations could be offset by increased fees assessed from the use of any new facilities.

Further, this bill would allow the Authority to issue bonds for the purchase, construction, or improvement of such inland facilities.
