FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 83 as passed the Senate would increase the administrative obligations of the Alabama Department of Transportation to implement and administer the Alabama Airport Economic and Infrastructure Program, which would grant funds to general aviation and commercial services airports for the purpose of funding improvements, paying debt service for improvements and funding efforts to grow and expand commercial aviation service in the State. This bill prohibits the total grants awarded under this program from exceeding the amount appropriated to the program, and no funding source is provided for the program in this bill.
