FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 211 as introduced exempts certain purchases of supplies and services by the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services from competitive bid requirements and allows contracts for the purchase or use of push-to-talk services to be awarded via multiple purchase contracts, which could increase or decrease potential expenses of certain governmental entities by an undetermined amount dependent upon the cost otherwise paid through competitive bid and the price paid under the lease/purchase of goods.
