FISCAL NOTE
Senate Bill 127 as introduced proposes a constitutional amendment which, if ratified, could increase the administrative costs of local boards of education by an undetermined amount to establish policies requiring each public K-12 school to broadcast "The Star-Spangled Banner" at school-sanctioned sporting events and at least once a week during school hours.
In addition, this bill will increase the proclamation expenses of the Governor, paid from the State General Fund, by an estimated $100,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023.
