FISCAL NOTE
Senate Bill 80 as introduced further expands the provisions of law that currently allows the issuance of professional licenses and certificates for spouses of military personnel, to now include spouses of employees of the U.S. Department of Justice and subordinate agencies, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, that are relocated to Alabama by order of their employer. Additionally, this bill removes the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy, Board of Dental Examiners, State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and State Board of Medical Examiners from the list of boards or agencies exempted from the provisions of this section. This bill will further reduce potential receipts to boards, agencies, commissions, and other entities that issue professional licenses or certificates by a small undetermined amount dependent upon the number of additional individuals that benefit from the provisions of this act.
