FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 72 as introduced could reduce the advertising and bidding expenditures of city and county boards of education, and public educational entities by an undetermined amount, by allowing the boards of education and/or public educational entities to purchase goods or services for meals outside of the Child Nutrition Program of the Alabama State Department of Education (for up to 60 days) based on a recommendation of the State Superintendent of Education, during an emergency affecting health or safety, or causing supply chain disruption, and the approval of the Department of Examiners of Public Accounts.
