FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 358 as substituted and reported by the Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security would prohibit the state and any political subdivision, and any appointed or elected official, officer, or employee from enforcing any Presidential Executive Orders, effective after January 1, 2021, that would regulate the ownership, possession, or use of firearms, ammunition, or firearm accessories of law-aiding residents of the state.

This bill could increase the administrative obligations of the Office of the Attorney General to provide guidance to state and local officials on complying with the provisions of this bill.
