FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 88 as substituted and reported by the Committee on Ways and Means Education would increase the obligations of the local boards of education by an undetermined amount dependent upon the number and cost of feminine hygiene products purchased for students in each school building where any fifth through twelfth-grader is enrolled.

For the 2020-2021 school year, there are approximately 218,000 female students in grades five through twelve at 1,293 schools.
