FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 314 as passed the House of Representatives would (1) reduce the obligations of the Election Expenses Account, funded by State General Fund appropriations, by an estimated $888,000 every four years by no longer mailing notices to all registered voters, (2) reduce the obligations of county general funds collectively by an estimated $31,500 every four years, and (3) conversely increase the obligations of the Election Expenses Account by an estimated $31,500 every four years. The total net effect of the provisions of this bill to the Election Expenses Account is an estimated savings of $856,000 every four years.
