FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 606 as substituted and reported by the Committee on Ways and Means General Fund would exempt a veteran with a 100% service-connected disability from payment of all ad valorem taxes for one passenger vehicle. This bill could reduce receipts to the State General Fund, the Public School Fund, the Department of Human Resources, the Veterans' Assistance Fund, and the several counties and several municipalities by an undetermined amount dependent upon the number of disabled veterans that meet the criteria for exemption provided in this bill and the value of the vehicle registered by the veteran.
