FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 333 as passed the Senate would increase the obligations of the Alabama Athletic Commission by an undetermined amount to regulate unarmed combat. Any increase in obligations could be offset, wholly or in part, by: (1) license fees imposed for the promotion or holding of unarmed combat events and for participants of unarmed combat events; and (2) administrative fines the commission is authorized, pursuant to the provisions of this bill, to assess and collect in an amount not to exceed $10,000 per violation.

Further, this bill: (1) repeals the current criminal and civil penalties for violation of statutes regarding the commission; and (2) provides a process for filing a complaint with the commission for alleged violations of statutes regarding the commission.
