FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 367 as introduced would require public K-12 schools to have a minimum of one drinking fountain, water cooler or water bottle filling station per 100 individuals occupying the school facility which could increase the obligations of local boards of education by an undetermined amount dependent upon (1) the requirements of state and local building or plumbing codes or state or local laws or regulations that were in place at the time a public K-12 school facility was constructed; (2) the difference in number of drinking fountains, water coolers and water filling stations currently in place at public K-12 school facilities and the number needed pursuant to the provisions of this bill; and (3) the costs to purchase and install the necessary drinking fountains, water coolers and water bottle filling stations.
