FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 361 as introduced could increase the obligations of the Board of Pardons and Paroles, by an undetermined amount, by authorizing the Board of Pardons and Paroles to: (1) increase the amount of funds that may be awarded for outstanding employee performance from $250 per year to $500 per year; and (2) expend funds appropriated to recruit and train law enforcement officers and support staff, educating the public, and promoting the agency's mission. The amount of the increased obligations would depend upon the amount set by the Board to be awarded for outstanding employee performance and the costs associated with the recruitment and training of law enforcement officers and support staff.

As amended and reported by the Committee on Finance and Taxation General Fund, could decrease the obligations of the Board of Pardons and Paroles, by an undetermined amount, by removing the $250 award for outstanding employee performance.
