FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 245 as passed the House of Representatives provides that all vehicle moving violations in a construction zone shall be subject to a fine of the greater of $250, or double the amount prescribed by law outside the construction zone.

This bill could increase receipts to the State General Fund and municipal general funds from fines.

This bill could increase the obligations of the Department of Transportation and county general funds, by an undetermined amount, to procure updated signage to comply with the provisions of this bill.
