FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 15 as passed the House of Representatives requires an annual transfer of $1.2 million, from the 5% portion of the base amount of annual license taxes and registration fees deposited into the Public Road and Bridge Fund to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Public Safety Fund beginning in fiscal year 2022, which codifies the current transfer amount established under an interagency agreement between the Alabama Department of Revenue (ADOR) and ALEA. This agreement provides for the annual compensation of ten Revenue Enforcement Officers transferred from ADOR to ALEA pursuant to Act 2013-067. The amount of this transfer for each fiscal year is shown in the table below:
