FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 118 as passed the House of Representatives would exempt volunteer rescue squads from the payment of license and registration fees and ad valorem taxes for utility trailers beginning January 1, 2022. This bill would reduce receipts, cumulatively, to the Public School Fund, the State General Fund, the Alabama Veterans’ Assistance Fund, the Public Road and Bridge Fund and county and municipal funds by an estimated $1,400 annually, based on information provided by the Alabama Association of Rescue Squads.
