FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 78 as passed the House of Representatives provides an exemption for a disabled veteran from the $1.25 license plate issuance fee collected by the local licensing officials pursuant to Section 40-12-271, Code of Alabama 1975. This bill would decrease cumulative receipts to the various local licensing officials across the state by an estimated $118,000 annually, based on FY 2020 collections. This bill will not otherwise affect state funding.
