FISCAL NOTE
Senate Bill 238 as passed the Senate would increase the expenditures of the Secretary of State by an estimated $100,000 per statewide election cycle for a system that provides for absentee voting by blind or visually impaired voters. Also, this bill would increase the obligations of the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind by an undetermined amount to provide an affidavit confirming an individual is blind or visually impaired to vote absentee pursuant to this bill.
