Senate Bill 18 as introduced exempts the Floyd Cherokee Medical Center LLC from paying Utility Gross Receipts Tax, which will decrease receipts to the Education Trust Fund by approximately $21,000 per year.

As amended and reported by the Committee on Finance and Taxation Education, the provisions of this bill would sunset on September 30, 2025.
