FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 114 as introduced, beginning January 1, 2021, would exempt volunteer rescue squads from the payment of license and registration fees and ad valorem taxes on utility trailers. This bill could reduce receipts to the Public School Fund, the State General Fund, the Alabama Veterans’ Assistance Fund, the Public Road and Bridge Fund and county and municipal funds by an undetermined amount dependent upon the number of utility trailers owned and used by volunteer rescue squads that would not be subject to ad valorem taxation and license and registration fees.

As amended and reported by the Committee on Finance and Taxation Education, this exemption would begin January 1, 2022.
