FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 264 as introduced could increase the administrative obligations of the Alabama Department of Labor, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board and the Public Service Commission to establish rules for compliance and enforcement of the provisions of this bill.

In addition, this bill increases the fine for failing to post human trafficking information for each subsequent violation after an initial warning from an amount not to exceed $50 currently, to the amount of $250. This bill also provides that fines from this bill, that would otherwise have been deposited into the State General Fund, shall be deposited into the Attorney General's Special Revenue Account which could increase receipts to the Account by an undetermined amount dependent upon the number of persons fined for non-compliance with the provisions of this bill.
