FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 80 as passed the House of Representatives, provides that law enforcement officers assigned to the Investigation Division of the Department of Revenue and to the Department of Mental Health shall receive the $12 daily subsistence allowance currently provided to certain other law enforcement officers, retroactive to October 1, 2019. The provisions of this bill will not directly affect the obligations of the Department of Revenue, as this codifies current practice of the Department, but would increase the obligations of the Department of Mental Health by an estimated maximum of $231,768 for fiscal year 2021 and $115,884 each year thereafter.

As amended and reported by the Committee on Finance and Taxation General Fund would increase the obligations of the Department of Mental Health by an estimated $48,285 for fiscal year 2021 and $115,884 each fiscal year thereafter.
