FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 126 as introduced repeals various tax exemptions for entities that do not have a current certificate of exemption, according to the Department of Revenue. In addition, this bill extends the current tax exemption for certain entities to include collecting certain taxes, which could decrease receipts to the Education Trust Fund, the State General Fund, counties, and municipalities by an undetermined amount dependent upon the amount of taxes previous collected by each entity that will no longer be collected.
