FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 49 as passed the Senate could increase the obligations of any county, municipality, or authority by an undetermined amount to repair or replace a private sewer lateral, deemed to constitute a public purpose by resolution of the local governing authority. However, this increase in obligations would be offset by the recovery of the actual costs of such repair or replacement by prorating the utility bill of the owner of the private sewer lateral.
