FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 87 as introduced provides that a chief investigator or any other investigator appointed by a district attorney shall serve at the pleasure of the district attorney and shall not be subject to any county civil service system provided by local law or otherwise. This could reduce, by an undetermined amount, the administrative obligations of counties in which investigators appointed by a district attorney would no longer be subject to the civil service system.
