FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 251 as amended and reported by the Committee on Urban and Rural Developement could increase the administrative obligations of state agencies and county or municipal governing bodies responsible for administering permits for the installation of small wireless facilities on public utility infrastructure (right-of-way). Any increase in obligations would be offset, at least in part, by (1) one-time permit fees, ranging from $250 to $1,000 depending on the type of installment, and (2) the rate charged for access to right-of-ways, not to exceed $170 annually, pursuant to the provisions of this bill.
