FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 231 as passed the House of Representatives makes a supplemental appropriation of federal funds from the Alabama Emergency Rental Assistance Fund to the Department of Finance in the estimated amount of $263,236,067 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2021. These funds will be delegated by memorandum of agreement to the Alabama Housing Finance Authority to administer the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, and any amount that remains unexpended on September 30, 2021 will be reappropriated to the Department for the same purpose for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2021.
