FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 12 as introduced proposes a Constitutional Amendment which, if ratified, would require local boards of education to establish policies requiring each public K-12 school to broadcast "The Star-Spangled Banner" at school-sanctioned sporting events and at least once a week at each public school during school hours.

This bill will increase the proclamation expenses of the Governor, paid from the State General Fund, by an estimated $100,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023.
