FISCAL NOTE
House Bill 110 as introduced requires the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) to be (1) responsible for health care costs of parole and probation violators housed in county jails and (2) reimburse county jails for housing parolees and probationers at a rate of $20 per day
These provisions would increase the obligations of the Alabama Department of Corrections by an undetermined amount dependent upon the number of parolees and probationers in the custody of a consenting county jail, and of those the number requiring health care and the cost to provide the same.
