FISCAL NOTE
House Bill 25 as introduced requires the Department of Corrections to electronically monitor inmates convicted of certain violent offenses as a condition of work release. According to the Department, this will increase the annual obligations of the department by an estimated maximum of $2.9 million dollars, in a normal operating year, to procure and provide electronic monitoring to inmates convicted of a violent offense who are on work release.
