FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 139 as introduced proposed a Constitutional Amendment relating to Choctaw County, which if ratified, would provide for the Legislature, by general or local law, to fix, alter, and regulate the costs and charges of court and other fees to be charged and collected by a county officer, including fees charged and collected for service of process. This amendment further ratifies and confirms any act authorizing the levy of additional court costs or fees enacted prior to the adoption of the amendment.

This bill will increase the proclamation expenses of the Governor, paid from the State General Fund, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023 by an estimated $100,000.
