FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 5 as introduced makes a supplemental appropriation from the American Rescue Plan Act – Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Revenue Replacement Fund to the Department of Corrections - Correctional Capital Improvement Fund, in the amount of $400,000,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2022, to be used for the construction of a specialized men's prison facility and an Escambia men's prison facility, as provided by House Bill 4 of the 1st Extraordinary Session of the Legislature. This bill further reappropriates any unexpanded funds for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2022.
